About "Blue Sea"

I sat on this beach for hours and just 'drank' it in - the horizontal colours mesmerised me and I just couldn't breathe enough of it in. I'm not revealing which beach it was because many people have claimed it as 'the special beach' that they have been to at some point in their lives. Suffice it to say that it is somewhere in the Southern Hempisphere in the summer months! You just can't beat that blue!

About Nadine

I started doing art seriously when I was 12 years old and had the privilege of attending classes with the late Bill Ainslie.

The time I spent with Bill Ainslie and his teachers at what became the Johannesburg Art Foundation had a profound influence on my work and my outlook on art. Their teaching style promoted freedom of expression, self-exploration and innovation.

I have used several mediums; my absolute favourite is chalk pastel.

I treat each artwork like a love affair: sometimes we fight; sometimes we don't speak to one another and sometimes ... well what can I say?
