About "Boats in the Harbour"

I combined two photos of sea scapes and created my own harbour scene with baroque art. I enjoy painting water and the reflections on it. The baroque art gives me the pleasure to create something realistic but playful and impressionistic

About Mike

Mike Taljaard

I am inspired by the fact that I can create. There are so many things we need to be thankful for. I paint what inspires me and not what normally sells. The colors and combination of darkness and light motivate me to create what is in my mind. I like to paint with my fingers. I went through a stage in 2008 where I painted a clown every week. They are not copies of people but are created from my mind. I concentrate now on baroque art. I love painting reflections on water. Keep on keeping on.
