About "Boland Spring"
I love the Western Cape, near to Cape Town, with it's mountains and winelands but most of all I am captivated by the flora of the area which is so rich and diverse, sometimes if they have had good rains in the winter the flowers will come out in full force and if one walks in the veld you cannot but help to walk on the flowers which seems to be such a sin, but it cannot be helped. Another inspiration I received is from the impressionistic painter Hugo Naude who used to paint in the Worcester area as well as in Namaqualand
The photographic images I create, with the help of Photoshop, are made from my photos of flowers, bark, lichen, rocks etc. My passion is to make graphic images in the form of landscapes or abstract images which remind and encourage us to be gentle with nature. The first images I made about 6 years ago were as a result of observing of someone taking a photo with a cell phone. The results inspired me to produce images I am proud of indeed and exceed by far my wildest dreams. The colors that I am able to deliver constantly amaze me with the tones that are produced.
I have had no exhibitions todate
I was educated in Port Elizabeth where I completed matric
