About Myrna

I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and have been painting since my early twenties. Self taught, I have continued to create and shape my style to suit my expression. My medium is oil on canvas and my technique is said to be bold and clean. My subjects are varied and my inspiration is drawn from the energy that is Africa. I am always inspired by the simple raw spirituality of Africa and I enjoy uniting that with the modern elegance of the West.

For the past 7 years I have successfully exhibited in various galleries in Johannesburg and Cape Town, including the Cinema Nouveau Artist Festival in 2003. My work has also been exhibited in Germany and is sold as far afield as the United States, UK and Australia, amongst others.

I currently work out of my studio in the Western Cape.

I am available for commissions.
