How can I begin to describe the peace yet danger of this dramatic sunset over False Bay in the Western Cape with the sunset glowing on the mountains reaching to Cape Point? The lurking depth of the dark water in shadow in contrast to the warm fire glow of the setting sun on the water, gives you conflict and drama but the silence brings peace as well.What a glorious Creator we have! Amen

About Ita

I'm painting full time again and loving the new genre of Watercolor painting.I have previously preferred oils.
I also love to paint portraits, ethereal landscapes, stil lifes and a little qurky abstracts for the humor and joy it portrays. I can also paint commissions when a good photo can be e mailed or send by WhatsApp to me.I am so greatful to have the opportunity to paint again I have studied portrait painting under Johanna Wassenaar while still at University but whilst teaching I never found time to paint.I have found my nemesis, my special little place in the sun with my oils and lately the difficult genre of Watercolos so am so filled with joy to create what I see around me.I love painting portraits and to really capture the soul in their expressions.It is also so rewarding to capture nature around me in my seascapes and landscapes.
Art has given me the chance to enjou my life!
