About Juli

I am inspired by nature in general. The nature of animals, people, countries, politics etc intrigue me and find a way into my work. Classical music, jazz and painting in the still of the night turn me on! I find wonderful inspiration round about 3 am.!!!
Helping people to fish rather than handing them the fish is one of the things I believe in.
I run a gallery in Velddrif on the Cape's West Coast. F.A.T.E. - Facilitators for Art and Traveling Exhibitions - takes the works of West Coast artists to venues the artist would not normally travel to.
The element of surprise - sometimes even shock - find its way to most of my work!
Many of my paintings now live abroad especially the wild life, naughty fairies and portrait studies.
I work on consignment and paint whatever the purchaser wants.
