About "Kalk Bay-Cape South Africa"

Kalk Bay (Kalkbaai in the Afrikaans language) is pronounced "cork" in English but in fact has nothing to do with cork but refers to chalk (kalk is chalk) This painting is typical of the many beautiful little fishing harbours that dot the Cape Coast. I have spent many happy hours painting these harbours and the people who are the reason for their existence.
