Reference 2024.1 About "Lazy Day in Kalk Bay" Walking around Kalk Bay docks near Cape Town, I noticed these two small fishing boats left to a day of rest, sun and sun. Even the water seemed to be responding to the tranquility of the boats slight movements. This painting reminds me of an important life lesson someone taught me...to remain the rest as much as possible. This scene awakened that restfulness that I find accessible to me inside, especially when I surrender to it, just like these two boats, happily sitting in the dock of the Bay. |
