About "Line of Sight - Old Man"

An old man in Wittekleibos, in the eastern Cape. He is a silent strength to his community. Each line that makes up the contours of the face, signifies the days, events, years that he has contributed to his community. The faded acrylic background signifies the environment. The idea that the whole is more than just the sum of the parts. With this work I aim to bring him into your Line of Sight.

Born in Pretoria (South-Africa) in 1976, Stefanie de Beer currently lives and works in Pretoria and is known for her humanitarian drawings as well as exceptional body painting and sculpting skills. She has been working in the art industry for the last 16 years with wide application into the corporate sector. She has exhibited both locally and internationally in a solo capacity.
