The constantly changing face of suburbs fascinates me - the emotions change elicits, prejudices unearthed and the meaning of neighbourliness to different people.
The "shack" may be a squatter on the property or an extension to the house or garden cottage for rent etc. The painting explores the possibilities and our reactions to them.

I'm inspired by the play of light - how it reveals emotion in landscapes, figures, and fleeting moments. My work blends realism with symbolism, using layered brushwork, glazes, and mark-making to explore themes of solitude, transformation, and connection. I draw from history, mythology, and personal experience to create visual narratives that resonate across time and culture.
