About "Requiem"

This work is about the passing over of my sister. The ending of her life as my sister and the beginning of her new adventure. The skull represents death & rebirth. The guitar symbolises her love of music and that the painting is her requiem. The solidly painted parts of the painting represent what she left behind here. The loosely dripped enamel represent the journey she has embarked on.
