Die krag van die see en die vakmanskap van n seilende skip op die magtige waters van die see of oseaan het my nog altyd betower. Van die rustigste een oomblik na die ontstuimigste en gevaarlikste wat n mens kan ervaar.

The eighteenth-century philosopher, Hume, wrote: "Beauty is no quality in things themselves, it merely exists in the mind, which contemplates them and each mind perceives a different beauty." And Plotinus said "For the absolute good is the cause and source of all beauty, just as the sun is the source of all daylight, and it can not therefore be spoken or written." It is these terms that I base my paintings and ideas on. It is the beginning of a new creation.
