We women just love our shopping and I was inspired to capture the images of the diverse items that came out of my paper shopping bag. shopping is an great walking event and it occured to me that maybe I should wear my Hitec boots for this event!

About Joey

I work in Oils, Water Colour, and pencil, charcoal & pen & ink. Oils, pencil & ink I use as a vehicle to express something intensely, W/C, romantic or dreamy. I don't specifically confine myself to one technique, as I souly go on what the painting demands. However, I start off building up with glaze work to capture the luminous quality of light before I start building up with thick & loose brush work, depicting the textures. The choice of my theme comes from what stimulates an emotional response to a scene, reflecting what I am experiencing unconsciously at that specific time. Although I discover the connection later. For example, the Damaraland painting reflects that I experienced life in reality as harsh at that specific time, yet always there is mystic beauty.
