About Steve

Steve Bandoma was born in 1981 in Kinshasa. After graduating with a degree in Fine Art from Academies des Beaux-Arts, he moved to South Africa in 2005, where he has participated in numerous exhibitions. He had his first solo exhibition at Alliance Franaise of Cape Town in 2008 and won several arts awards including the Art Buzz 2009 Book Collection with Honourable Mention in USA. Recently Bandoma was laureate for residency programme hosted by Prohelvetia in Zurich as well as for Visa pour la creation Afrique et Carabes en creations hosted by Culturesfrance at Cite Internationale des Arts in partnership with Mains D'uvres in 2009, Paris.
