About Ginny

A lifelong love of art and art history that I share with my husband Gareth (a former art lecturer and teacher)has motivated and inspired me. Our shared passion for art has taken us to the galleries and museums of SA, Europe, UK and USA.where meaningful influences have shaped my work.
My inspiration comes from diverse sources, the human face, nature in the form of found objects, rock faces roots, shells. Erosion in particular leads to beautiful passages of decay and degeneration. These transitions link the material to the spiritual in my works. The psychology of transition when applied to the human condition is also a strong basis for my figurative inspiration.
