About Jac

Jac Kritzinger was born in 1976 in Cape Town, South Africa.
A published poet, writer and translator, he has shown an array of creative talents since early childhood. After completing an honours degree in film studies he has explored many forms of visual media, but decided ultimately to focus on photography.
Not wanting to be restricted to a specific field within the photographic spectrum, he enjoys the freedom to explore different genres. His style, however, remains largely uniform. Manipulation of light, unusual composition and an instinctive, intuitive eye are all trademarks of his mastery of the medium, guiding the viewer towards the mystical beauty that resides beneath the surface of collective reality. His amiable demeanour and unique ability to capture emotional essence has contributed to his growing popularity as a contemporary wedding and portraiture photographer.
Jac’s work has been included in a wide range of elite local exhibitions, and his impeccable fine art prints form part of private collections in South Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
