About Mari

I love being creative, I look at everything around me and cannot wait to create something that comes to mind! I have been creating things all my life and escaping the corporate world which kept me away from my art for 23 years was the most wonderful thing that ever happened to me.

Of all the various forms of art/creating, I have found painting the most satisfying.

Due to not having any formal education in art, I constantly read and absorb any information available on the subject.

I paint with acrylics on board and watercolours on paper. However, I have recently started playing with oil, wow, a new world in being creative opened up for me! All my acrylic and watercolours paintings are varnished for durability and enhancing of the colours.

I also believe in saving our earth and have a room full of little "throw away" items which I use to create my Recycle Abstracts! I use lids, broken pieces of glass, paper, cloth, pieces of wood, sticks, you throw away and I pick up!!! My family used to think I am mad with all the junk but once they saw my creations they started adding to my collection.

I am very blessed to be able to show the world what I see by means of my art and hope you will enjoy my paintings as much as I have enjoyed creating them.
