About Pamela

Pamela Selkirk

Pamela Selkirk is a self-taught artist, although she completed art at high school with distinction.

Her passion has driven her to carry on investigating and seeking practical knowledge through well known local South African art teachers, including Paul Botes, Kevin Melville and others. Much of her training may be attributed to these artists who continue to inspire and encourage.

She continually challenges herself to capture the soul of a painting, the elusive beauty of light and colour.

As a teacher with studios in Edenvale and Benoni in Gauteng, she assists others to break the restrictive patterns learnt and to explore and develop their own creative style. To push beyond what they see and to paint from passion and emotion, from soul.
