About Marina

Being able to capture a moment in time is exciting. Starting with a flat white surface, wondering what the end result will be - and then the final touches. It gives me so much joy to be able to create something and I thank my Creator for the gift of being able to express myself in paint."

Born in Zambia (formerly Nothern Rhodesia) and having grown up in the Free State and establishing a family in Klerksdorp (old Western Transvaal of South Africa), I moved to Stilbaai in the Western Cape Province to a little town called Stilbaai, in 1994.

It was here that the will to paint became an unstoppable urge, and that in turn, led to many successful local exhibitions.

I love telling emotional stories with my paintings, often expressing what I feel and cannot say in words. The satisfaction of capturing a moment in time - the human form, a scene, a flower - offers a sense of satisfaction that reflects my deep connection to my work.
