Reference 5052 About "Spring Flowers" Spring in the Western Cape of South Africa is a most spectacular time of the year. My husband and I have travelled to some of the most beautiful places in the world but there is nothing more beautiful than the Western Coast of South Africa in the spring. From Cape Town to Namibia the whole Western Cape turn into an unbelievable, vibrant patchwork of colour. We both agree that this holiday - relatively short, as the flowering season is from mid August to min September - was the best holiday we have ever experience. I plan to do a whole series of our experiences along this stretch and have started documenting it in my blog. |

Since retiring from a career as a school librarian I have been privileged to enjoy experimenting with acrylics and various materials and textures and I am always game to try something new or different. My experimenting techniques have lead to some interesting effects but have included the odd disaster that has literally gone up in flames. I have a great love for all of Gods creation but particularly for Africa, its people and wildlife and have tried to interpret this in my personal expression of artwork.
