About Marieta

Marieta was born and grew up in Namibia. In 1991 the family moved to South Africa where they lived on a farm up country. After her husband passed away, Marieta moved to Cape Town where she was exposed to the art of painting and immediately fell in love with it. Marieta says: "When I became involved in this art form, I realized that I received the gift of drawing and painting and that it was my responsibility to develop this talent.
Painting became my way of life; it literally opened my eyes towards things around me and put me on a positive journey for years to come. I do not have money, but as long as I have my canvas and paint, I am happy. I can only thank my Heavenly Father for this wonderful blessing."
