About "The Brewing Storm"

One afternoon while watching a brewing storm with the white horses crashing over the rocks I felt the urge to pull my paint materials out and do something a little more loose compared to my usual realism. I allowed myself to go with the flow and enjoyed stepping out my comfort zone.

About Lauren

The passion I have for art started at an early age.

As a young girl, I found my most natural expression through my artistic abilities.

I have now been doing art for the past 13 years and love every minute spent in my little studio space.

Oil paints have always been my main medium, until I discovered, 3 years ago, that I could get the same sort of detail from pastels. My subject matter choices vary, but I enjoy still life's, animals, landscapes and nature.

Art is my sanity!
