About "The Cusp"

This painting came to me in a vision. The baby represents birth or rebirth. We, as a human race are on the cusp of change, new beginnings, a new consciousness - The Golden Age. I used the golden ratio measurements in the making of the canvas and incorperated sacred geometry in various aspects of my artwork. This painting radiates the pure, innocent energy of a newborn as well as a very high frequency vibration.

About Annet

It's the infinite possibilities in art that fascinate and inspire me. With just a canvas, brush and paint I can be, do or create anything I want. Nothing has to be real, it doesn't even have to make sense or be perfect, it just has to be....
To me art is about expressing what's in my heart. I can use all the techniques I want but if there is no heart in my art, it's just an empty canvas with pretty pictures on. Most of my work is of a sensual nature, either visually or tactically with use of textures and varying brushstrokes.

Being a spiritual - but not religious person I feel very drawn to sacred geometry and the mysterious flow of energy and its movements and I enjoy incorporating it in my art. I am currently using the Fibonacci (golden ratio) sequence in my art and have even started making my own canvasses according to the golden ratio (width x 1.618 = length) . My art is a constant work in progress and I'm learning new things everyday and loving it.

My preferred medium is acrylic paint and I sometimes use various textures if I feel it will enhance that specific painting. The textures I use are flexable and strong. All my paintings are sealed with a durable acrylic sealer and are reasonably weather proof.
