About "The Writing is on the Wall"
This was a reworking of a life figure drawing that I created during a workshop at Firefly Studio with Pauline Gutter & Dina Grobler.
The changes that I made was inspired by both titled suggestions made by my beautiful followers (some of their suggestions is in the writing). As well as one of my favourite Bible verses - Isaiah 49:15
"See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me."
In the wall writing I added very subtle text which reflects some of God's feelings towards us. Maybe the most visible would be the little writing close to her shoulder on the right hand side that say "God loves you".
As a Christian, I have to constantly remind myself that I am who God says I am and not the world's value system which is broken :-)

About Liesel
I am a Fine Artist, based in Free State, South Africa. I specialize in realistic drawings and paintings of People, with a subtle Christian Narrative. My preferred mediums are Graphite Pencils, Soft Pastels, and Oil Paint. I work mostly from photographs, but love to do life studies when I get the opportunity.
My personal work deals with self-believe, and identity, especially regarding my daily battle as a Christian to realign myself to God's word. It is also about God's values in contrast to the World's.
I have art collectors all over South Africa, as well as overseas. In addition, I have created a wide variety of custom-made portrait commissions for customers, working mainly from photographs.
