The work is inspired by each person's individual relation to the spiritual world, with specific reference to Christianity in this case. For many people, faith and spiritualism helps them rise above the mire of chaos in their lives, and that is what this painting is about.

About Joanne

Living in London since 2006, she enjoys a variety of artistic media, but focuses her attention on abstract painting and illustration.

She has illustrated An Elephant Bloodline, a semi-fictional book about a family of elephants in the Kruger National Park, as well as provided artwork for various other projects.

Her abstract work aims to embody life experiences, familiar to most people, as well as those close to her own life.
