About "Wildflower Acres" I love working with texture and using a pallet knife to create texture in some areas of the painting. Color always inspires me.. where ever I start on a painting is usually where the painting will grow from. I build it from there with contrasting colors and shapes, but try to keep the lines flowing and mesmerizing. Color lifts my mood and being able to use it in such a way that it not only catches the eye but tells a story, makes me happy. |

I am a self-taught South African artist. I grew up and lived in the Northern Cape until 2016. For the first 25 years of my adult life, I devoted my time and energy to my two daughters. I started a portrait framing business from my home and managed it for 12 years before deciding to sell the business and focus on my art. We moved to Bloemfontein at the beginning of 2017...I do not love to paint, but also enjoy renovating living spaces and buying old furniture to repair and re-paint.
