About "Your Heart Is Mine"

"Your heart is mine" - a statement found in history, archaeology, religion and relationships. The painting is allegorical in nature incorporating the statement as expressed by so many cultures, religions, lovers and manipulators.
A woman places her hand on her lover's heart and whispers the words in his ear. An endearment or a threat, possibly a warning? Are they equally in love or is she trying to manipulate him into staying even though his eyes do not meet hers but look for something new.
A tattoo on his arm of the Sacred Heart of Catholicism hints at Christianity's desire for Christ's heart/love and the need for the Christian to 'give' his heart to Christ.
Each balustrade is topped with a replica statue of Chacmool, the messenger of the Aztec gods, who transported the extracted the still beating hearts of the human sacrifices as offerings to the gods who claimed; "Your heart is mine" and treasured the blood sacrifices.
