About Maggi

I am passionate about art! Every brush stroke, the caption of the sun on a blade of grass, a tree, an animal or any other aspect of nature ignites my soul. Art is not something I grew up with, but rather something that I grew to love as I got older. My art journey started when my son, Tremayne was entered into a provincial art competition by his school, his art piece was voted the best in Kwazulu Natal and as a prize he won an art hamper which contained many different forms and mediums of art equipment .

More out of curiosity I started doodling with acrylics and later as I became more confident I then ventured into oils. I have been painting for a few years but only recently began exhibiting my art and have sold pieces at our local Harts Exhibition in Howick, and at the prestigious Michael House School in the Kwazulu Natal midlands . I have also sold a few pieces to a client in the United Kingdom. Currently I am preparing for an exhibition which will be run by Harts. I have also exhibited at the All Saints Church art exhibition in Pmb as well as at Millgate Cottages exhibition in the Midlands. I am hoping to be exhibiting at Art In The Park in Pietermaritzburg soon.

I enjoy doing paintings of beautiful South African landscapes as well as our unique animal life and local architecture. My deep desire is to be able to capture the beauty and culture of our magnificent country on canvas and share it with the rest of the world .
