About "End of the day Blouberg strand"

There is a lot of action on the beach just before the sun set. People and pets walking and enjoying the last minutes of the day. I just love watching the colors change and seeing the reflections in the wet sand.

About Claudette

I enjoy going out and love nature. The beauty of reflecting water or sunlight breaking through clouds get the pictures in my mind. I prefer starting out by just taking in the scene until I feel I know it. If possible at all starting with small thumb nail sketches or a color study in plain air. I also take lots of photos and do the final work in my studio.

Currently I'm working towards the next exhibition and look forward to seeing all the other artists and their work.
People still ask me whether any of my 24 paintings that were stolen in August 2017, were recovered. None were. Sometimes I still stop when I see a familiar image on the internet. It took me a while but I have moved on from this bad experience.
