About "Kalkbay Harbour "

I am very fond of blue and the multitude of hues within the range. The blues of the sea, sky and boats make for a wonderful study in contrasts and tones. I am reminded of having enjoyed good meals in the area when looking at the painting.

I'm inspired by the play of light - how it reveals emotion in landscapes, figures, and fleeting moments. My work blends realism with symbolism, using layered brushwork, glazes, and mark-making to explore themes of solitude, transformation, and connection. I draw from history, mythology, and personal experience to create visual narratives that resonate across time and culture.
